Thank you for visiting Pajolo Cam.

You can find my blog under “the good stuff” (latest posts to the right of this page) where I write about topics pertaining to my Asian-American identity, relationships & life, mental health, and more. I post my poetry there as well. Take a look around & leave a comment if you so desire!
rapid mind / rabbit-hearted
Pajolo (he/her) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Seattle, with poetry being his main love. She’s a singer-songwriter, writing songs primarily with guitar. Inspired by the shifting skies, crawling foliage, and moody waters of the Pacific Northwest, Pajolo’s voice is given direction in the cyclical nature and emotional waves that the changing seasons inflict. He’s a resourceful collager, avid doodler, aspiring hairstylist, and above all, an optimist.
devotions
In the whirlwind of life as someone in her early 20s, I’ve found four core values to ground myself in. They spell out the word HEAL. Constantly bouncing back from the past, uncertain about the future, and facing anxieties of the present (mind thinking rapidly, the heart beating endlessly), I’ve found solace in expressing my woes through writing. I’ve found solace in defining what is important to me; always editing and always changing. Healing is a process that lasts a lifetime.
Harmony
Magic is everywhere if you know where to look. True harmony is forged with intention. Be kind, especially to yourself. To grow a beautiful garden, it starts from within. Remember to drink water, allow yourself space, and reconnect with the nature of your body. Ask somebody how their day was.
Expression
Only you have the power to share your own ideas and emotions. Celebrate the conversations and opportunities that spur from the stories you tell or revel in the rejection. Try again, nothing is permanent (you can always change your mind).
Authenticity
See things for how they are. Point them out. Build courage by being honest; setting boundaries, taking accountability, being passionate, and so on. Releasing shame is no easy task, though it’s worth the connection to your soul.
Learning
Seek to understand, discern, and implement (or discard) new perspectives. Even in pockets of time, there is room to expand. Find the lessons learned and count your blessings. Move forward knowing that rivers will always flow and stars will always die.
