[I don’t really have a plan when I start a Post. I have an idea, but what I want to say about it gets lost. Suppose I’ll get better about it over time. Right now, I’m focused on doing; avoiding stagnancy and the need to be perfect…!]

I used to go on Instagram.com and spend hours there. It’s easy for me to cling onto a vice and fall deep into it. I did my best to keep my feed full of art that inspired me and made me happy. I cultivated the story of “me” in my posts.

Seattle has pretty skies all year round, even when it is cloudy. There’s a lot of variation based on time of day, how windy it is, the tilt of the earth, etc. I like to capture them with what I have: my dinky camera and iPhone. My expression is a collaboration between myself and my resources.

You are a mosaic of what you love and what loves you.

It’s beautiful, the uniqueness of all the components that make up a person, a sky, a piece of art. There are constant worlds in the mundane, developing as we speak. Magic is everywhere, if you are looking for it…

If I could change any misconception about art, it’s that art requires talent. Art lives in everything and in everyone. To be an artist is to know this and take hold of it; execute your own expression! Tell your own story! You’re the only one who can. Art doesn’t need to be “good” in order to be art… art just is. Hum, doodle, admire nature. This is all innate in us. Art is foundational. Art sparks up conversation and inspiration; it is momentum.

Restore a seemingly simple painting, and art can be found in the stark differences of the restoration and the original; in the aftermath and discourse.
